The Global Maritime Forum is an international not-for-profit organisation working to shape the future of global seaborne trade through collaboration and collective action.

Navigating the Seas of Information

Our redesign focused on simplifying the user journey, ensuring visitors gain a clear understanding of Global Maritime Forum's mission and its impact. The revamped structure offers easy access to their extensive collection of resources, articles, and insights, showcasing industry expertise and thought leadership. Additionally, the website highlights the Annual Summit, a key event for driving collaboration within the industry.

Crafting a Digital Identity

We translated Global Maritime Forum's existing visual identity into a digital realm that's not just easy to navigate, but also resonates with their core values. The design strikes the balance between intuitive functionality and professional trustworthiness, infused with a hint of playfulness. The website reflects the organisation’s unconventional approach while ensuring a seamless user experience.

Low-Carbon Approach

In line with Global Maritime Forum’s commitment to decarbonising the maritime sector, we integrated some fundamental low-carbon practices into our website design.

By using lightweight interactive elements or illustrations instead of photos, we maintain visual appeal while minimising data load.

Based on insights from user research and testing, we mapped essential user journeys and flows. The resulting optimisation of infrastructure and navigation created a streamlined experience, reducing unnecessary clicks and consequently lowering energy consumption.

The page loads content only as needed, minimising server load and data transfer, thus contributing to a more sustainable digital ecosystem.
