UX & Visual Design Interns (Copenhagen)

Are you our interns for the fall?

Design is not just about making things look good or work well.

It is about understanding why things are the way they are and how they could be different.

At 1508, we work with organisations that want to change something that is not simple. We design digital experiences, brands and strategies, but we also work with systems, behaviours and futures.

We are now looking for two interns to join us this fall. One within UX and one within visual design.

The roles

You will not sit on the sidelines.

From day one, you will be part of real projects with real responsibility. Some things you will support. Some things you will drive yourself.

You will work closely with designers, developers and strategists, and get a sense of what it actually means to practice design in complex contexts.

We will shape your internship around your interests, but we will also push you a bit. You should leave with a clearer sense of what kind of designer you want to become.

UX Design Intern

You are interested in people, behaviour and systems. Not just interfaces.

You are curious about how things work beneath the surface and how design can move more than just pixels.

You might be into:

  • user research and insights

  • systems thinking or transition design

  • concept development and prototyping

  • workshops and collaboration

You will work with:

  • understanding users and mapping behaviours

  • developing and testing concepts

  • participating in and facilitating workshops

  • collaborating with clients and teams

  • connecting user needs, business and technology

Visual Design Intern

You care about how things look, feel and communicate.

But you also understand that visual design is not decoration. It shapes how people experience and understand the world.

You might be into:

  • digital brand design

  • UI and interaction

  • visual storytelling

  • concept development

You will work with:

  • creating visual concepts and interfaces

  • working with design systems and identities

  • building prototypes and mockups

  • shaping the visual direction of projects

Who you are

You are studying something relevant.

You are curious and you take initiative.

You are comfortable not knowing everything yet.

You want to learn, but you also want to contribute.

Practicalities

The internship runs from around September to December.

You get lunch, Friday bars and access to everything happening at 1508, both social and professional.
