This Morgenbooster is for you who wants to create systemic change but finds yourself struggling with the gap between your aspirational vision and the actual impact of your work. You might be a design leader, strategist, sustainability professional, or business decision-maker who recognises that good intentions aren't enough.

Addressing the complex issues of our society and planet is often a proclaimed intention of organisations and businesses alike. Visioning aspirational futures and alternative realities is a comforting way of positioning yourself in a narrative that builds towards a better world.

Unfortunately, there is often a chasm between the aspiring vision, and the impact of activities in the present. Not due to a lack of good intentions, but because the excitement for the future eclipses our understanding of the status quo. What are the reasons we don't already live in the future we envision? What are the structures that keep current social practices in place? What are the mental models and belief systems, invisible to the naked eye, that drive our attitude and behaviour?

If we want to be authentic about the change we create in the world, we need a way to hypothesise about the impact daily activities have on a structural and systemic level.

At our Morgenbooster on the 17th of January, we will share 1508's experience with our framework for designing for systemic transition. A practical tool that allows us to talk about impact on a systemic level, while connecting this intention to ongoing and future projects.
